The initiative aims to ensure the sustainable growth and competitiveness of the emirate's economy under all circumstances.
His Excellency Engineer Hamad Jumaa Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS), said the approved measures include a three-month deferral of planning, surveying and investment fees exceeding AED10,000 for the businesses and economic activities most affected by the current situation.
The department has also introduced flexible instalment plans, allowing eligible businesses to settle the deferred fees over the postponement period. The measure is intended to ease financial burdens, support business continuity, and help maintain operational stability.
Al Shamsi said the measures reflect the directives of the wise leadership and its continued commitment to supporting the economic sector by providing the necessary enablers to ensure business continuity across the Emirate of Sharjah, particularly under exceptional circumstances that may affect certain businesses.
He reaffirmed the department's commitment to mobilising all available resources to deliver flexible solutions that reduce the financial burden on customers, enhance the competitiveness of Sharjah's business environment, and support the emirate's sustainable economic development.
