Sharjah24: The Cultural and Community Development Committee at Al Dhaid Club, in cooperation with Al Dhaid University, organised a specialised workshop titled How to Deal with Adolescents in the Era of Digital Openness. The event forms part of a series designed to strengthen family and community awareness and equip parents with the educational skills needed to navigate modern challenges.
The workshop reflects the commitment of both institutions to fostering community partnership and reinforcing the role of educational and sports bodies in building generations capable of facing rapid transformations with confidence and understanding.
Key challenges and modern educational approaches
The session was delivered by Dr Fatima Al-Haj, a psychology specialist, who outlined the major challenges parents and educators face when communicating with adolescents amid rapid technological and digital shifts. She emphasised the need for balance between digital engagement and social values, presenting contemporary educational strategies to promote positive communication and better understand adolescents’ psychological and behavioural needs.

Community participation and recognition
The workshop saw strong attendance from various community groups, including students from Al Dhaid University who actively engaged in discussions.
At the conclusion, Saif bin Delwan Al Ketbi, Chair of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence Committee, and Muheir Obaid Al Khayyal Al Tunaiji, CEO of Al Dhaid Club, honoured Dr Al-Haj in appreciation of her valuable scientific insights.
