Upon his arrival at the club, on Monday, Sheikh Tariq was received by His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Board, along with His Excellency Humaid Abdullah Al Sadria Al Khateri, Vice Chairman, His Excellency Rashid Abdullah bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, Secretary-General, and other board members including His Excellency Malek Musbeh Al Ketbi, General Supervisor of the Shooting Hall, His Excellency Khalifa Mubarak Al Ketbi, Head of the Cultural Committee, His Excellency Saif bin Dalwan Al Ketbi, Head of Strategic Planning and Institutional Excellence, His Excellency Saeed bin Mutrif Al Tunaiji, Head of Media, and His Excellency Rashid bin Khamis Al Tunaiji, Supervisor of Individual Sports, in addition to various local community and sports figures.
The championship was part of the "Al Dhaid Sports Club Summer" programme and served as an important platform for promoting individual sports and discovering talent, reflecting the club’s broader mission of sport as a cultural and societal value. It was notable for the diversity of its categories and its inclusivity across age groups and skill levels, welcoming professionals, amateurs, seniors and juniors alike. This approach fostered a rich sporting environment blending experience with youthful energy.
The event stood out as a successful example of community-oriented championships and left a strong mark on the sporting calendar of Sharjah, reaffirming the popularity and cultural significance of shooting sports in the UAE. In the senior category, as part of the symbolic “Veteran Shooter” initiative, Ali Mohammed Al Zahmi came in first place, followed by Khalifa Mubarak Dalmouk in second and Mubarak Dalmouk Al Ketbi in third, in a gesture of appreciation for the older generation of shooters. In the junior “Young Shooter” category, Abdullah Amin Muthanna Taher claimed first place, with Humaid Mohammed Al Abdouli second and Dhiyab Mohammed bin Nouma Al Ketbi third.
Among youth aged 15 to 20, Khalid Mohammed bin Nouma Al Ketbi took first place, with Mohammed Moammar second and Abdullah Saeed Al Ketbi third. In the men’s category for ages 21 to 50, Abdulrahman Saad secured first, followed by Ahmed Mohammed Howaiden Al Ketbi and Saeed Hadhif Al Ketbi. For those aged 51 and above, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji topped the ranking, followed by Hassan Mohsen and Rashid Mohammed Al Ketbi.
In the professional rifle category for youth, Sultan Saleh Mohammed came first, followed by Mansour Saleh Hassan and Mohammed Ali bin Nouma. In the general professional rifle category, Salem Mohammed Al Yamahi ranked first ahead of Ibrahim Khalil Ibrahim. For the youth professional pistol category, Saud Hassan won first place, with Mohammed Kamel Al Kaabi second and Ahmed Saeed Al Tunaiji third. The general professional pistol category drew strong attention, where Ahmed Abdullah Al Ameri took first, Amin Muthanna Taher second and Hassan Yousif Hassan third.
The awards were presented by Sheikh Tariq bin Faisal Al Qasimi in a celebratory atmosphere attended by a large crowd. He was accompanied in the ceremony by His Excellency Salem bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, His Excellency Humaid Al Sadria Al Khateri, and His Excellency Rashid bin Howaiden Al Ketbi, alongside other board members. The organising committee’s chairman, Ali Abdullah bin Nouma Al Ketbi, and the referee team were also honoured for their dedication and technical oversight.
In his closing remarks, His Excellency Salem bin Howaiden Al Ketbi expressed sincere thanks to Sheikh Tariq, noting that his generous patronage and presence played a key role in the championship’s success and visibility. He affirmed that Al Dhaid Club remains committed to organising impactful events that uncover new talents and encourage community involvement in individual sports. His Excellency Malek Musbeh Al Ketbi added that the championship aligned with the club’s strategy to broaden participation and promote a spirit of healthy competition. He highlighted the “Veteran Shooter” initiative as a particularly meaningful part of the event, honouring long-standing contributions to the sport.
