Sharjah24: Abdulaziz Al Jarwan, Director of Transport Affairs at the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA), stated that the authority honoured its strategic partners and 180 outstanding drivers during its annual ceremony held on Wednesday at the Sharjah Cultural Palace Theatre.
Al Jarwan explained that the annual ceremony honoured the authority’s strategic partners, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Sharjah Police, Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, Sharjah 24 news website, Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, Theatre Department of the Department of Culture, and the franchise taxi companies, in addition to 180 distinguished drivers selected from among 4,800 drivers.
He told Sharjah 24 that this annual event reflects the authority’s belief that drivers represent the true image of SRTA through their role in providing safe, disciplined, and high-quality transportation services to the public in Sharjah. He added that the honoured drivers are chosen based on having no traffic violations or other remarks, and that this recognition serves as an incentive for them to continue delivering excellent service to passengers.
