Sharjah24: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced revised operating times for Route 203, which links the emirate to the Sultanate of Oman (Sohar–Muscat), as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance regional transport services and provide passengers with a more flexible and convenient travel experience.

Under the new timetable, buses departing from Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah for Muscat will run three times daily at 6:30 am, 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

In the opposite direction, two daily services will depart from Sohar to Sharjah at 7:00 am and 1:30 pm, and one daily service will depart from Muscat to Sharjah at 3:00 pm.

Enhancing connectivity

His Excellency Engineer Yousif Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of SRTA, said the updated schedule is part of the authority’s strategy to improve regional transport services and enhance operational efficiency, thereby reinforcing Sharjah’s status as a key hub for mobility and logistics.

He added that the authority remains committed to delivering advanced, safe and sustainable transport solutions that improve quality of life and support stronger social and family connections between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman.

Meeting passenger demand

His Excellency Abdulaziz Mohammed Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of Transport Affairs at SRTA, said the revised timings respond to growing demand on the Sharjah–Oman route and aim to deliver a smoother, more efficient travel experience.

The authority encouraged passengers to consult the updated schedules via its official channels and to plan their journeys in advance to ensure safe and convenient travel.
