The temporary diversion will take effect on Saturday, 13 June 2026, in line with approved alternative routes designed to facilitate construction works while maintaining traffic flow.

Capacity enhancement project

The project aims to improve traffic flow and increase the operational efficiency of Sharjah's road network by enhancing the capacity of Al Khulafa Al Rashideen Intersection.

The first phase includes implementing temporary traffic arrangements to enable construction activities while minimising disruption to road users.

The authority has urged motorists to comply with the approved traffic diversions, use the designated alternative routes, and follow all traffic safety instructions to ensure their safety and to support the smooth flow of traffic during the works.
