27 countries partake in the Khorfakkan Judo Championship

Sharjah 24: Issa Mousa bin Huwaiden, a member of the UAE Judo Federation's board, announced that the Khorfakkan International Judo Championship will take place on November 1st and 2nd at the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club. The event will bring together 320 male and female athletes from 27 countries, showcasing top talent from around the world. This tournament is a great chance for players to gain valuable experience and prepare for upcoming competitions.

In a special interview with Sharjah 24, Issa highlighted how impressive it is to have so many athletes participating, which shows the tournament’s importance on the global sports calendar. This event allows our national team players to face different judo styles and compete against world champions, helping them improve their skills and performance.

He also mentioned that the organizing team has ensured everything is ready for the event, following international standards. This includes setting up mats for competition, having qualified referees, and providing medical support on-site. The matches will be held in both morning and evening sessions, and arrangements have been made for spectators to enjoy the event safely and comfortably, boosting Khor Fakkan's reputation in the world of judo.

Issa concluded by saying that the Khorfakkan Championship is the second biggest event after the Abu Dhabi International Judo Championship. He confirmed that in the coming months, there will be three new championships in Fujairah, Kalba, and Sharjah, which will further enhance opportunities for local athletes and keep the judo calendar vibrant.
