At the beginning of the meeting, bin Hindi expressed his deepest gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his trust, blessings, and unwavering support for sports and athletes across the emirate.
Bin Hindi also extended his thanks and appreciation to H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his continuous encouragement and follow-up, which have played a key role in advancing the sports movement in the emirate. He further praised the support of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah for Sports Affairs, for their dedication to developing the sports sector.
The meeting discussed the club’s strategic direction for the upcoming period, focusing on improving the performance of all departments and sports teams. During the session, Obaid Saeed Al Shamsi was appointed Vice President and Head of the Legal Office, while Ibrahim Saleh Sumbij was assigned to lead the Football Company. Ibrahim Mohammed Al Jarwan was named Chairman of the Investment and Commercial Marketing Company, reflecting the club’s focus on financial sustainability and expansion.
The board also appointed Rashid Salem Al Bas as Financial Director, Eng. Suleiman Abdul Rahman Al Hajri as Head of Individual Sports, and Mohammed Saleh Al Ali as Head of Team Sports. In addition, Mohammed Abdullah Bu Rahima was named Head of Corporate Communications, and Nasser Saeed bin Afsan was appointed Head of the Internal Audit and Governance Office. The meeting concluded by emphasising the importance of effective governance, institutional excellence, and teamwork to strengthen Sharjah Sports Club’s role as a leading sports institution in the emirate.
