The initiative aims to strengthen family bonds through a variety of sports and entertainment activities, bringing members together with their parents in an atmosphere filled with fun and interaction. It also contributes to promoting family participation and encouraging family members to engage in sports activities together.

The initiative also featured a cultural and entertainment programme organised by the Khorfakkan Parents Council, which included family competitions and interactive activities. The programme enriched the atmosphere of the event and enhanced the participation of parents and their children in a comprehensive social, educational and entertainment experience.

Ahmed Hassan Al Naqbi, Khorfakkan Club board member and head of the organising committee for Sharjah Sports Summer “A Holiday Reimagined”, said that the continuation of the “My Family and I” initiative for the third consecutive year reflects its success in achieving its objectives.

He noted that the participation of families alongside their children helps strengthen family ties, promote a culture of practising sports as a lifestyle, and create lasting memories for participants. He also stressed the club’s commitment to providing quality programmes that combine benefit and enjoyment while supporting the objectives of the Sharjah Sports Council in developing young people and involving the family as a key partner in the programme’s success.
