The project aims to transform the site into a destination for artisans specialising in teaching and preserving traditional crafts, while also providing seating for visitors to enhance the aesthetic appeal of Khorfakkan Beach. The redevelopment is expected to strengthen the city’s cultural identity, support the continuity of traditional craftsmanship, and provide an attractive public space that brings together heritage, education and leisure in a distinctive coastal setting.
The initiative aims to preserve the emirate’s cultural heritage while enriching Khorfakkan’s tourism and heritage offerings by creating an interactive environment where visitors can experience and learn about traditional handicrafts.
His Highness announced the directive during the “Direct Line” programme, broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television.
