Sharjah24: A team from the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority carried out a diving trip to the artificial reef location in Al Hamriyah, Sharjah, to check the condition of the artificial reef structures, to evaluate their effect on the marine environment, and to observe the marine life associated with the site—particularly the way in which these organisms use the structures as habitats, thus contributing to biodiversity and helping to ensure the sustainability of fisheries resources.

The monitoring in this field helps to produce a more accurate understanding of how the marine environment is changing around artificial reefs and allows an evaluation of their role in providing suitable habitats for marine organisms and in creating conditions that promote the growth and reproduction of various species; thus the project's contribution to the development of fish stocks and to the maintenance of marine ecological balance is enhanced.
