Employee participation in shaping the future
The workshop shows that SFRA is serious about getting its employees involved in planning the future of the organisation. The talks were mostly about going over and updating the vision, mission, and core values, as well as setting strategic goals, objectives, and initiatives that will guide the Authority's work in the near future.
Expert-led sessions
Arwa Ahmed Al Baitam from Aurora Management Consultancy led the workshop. She shared her knowledge of strategic planning and institutional development, which helped SFRA come up with a full plan that reflects its goals and future directions.
Leadership perspective
Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, the head of the Sharjah Fish Resources Authority (SFRA), said that organising this workshop shows the SFRA's commitment to using the best methods in strategic planning and how important it is for the Authority to involve national talents in shaping its future. He said, "We think that having a common vision and effective planning are the keys to reaching our environmental and development goals. We will keep working with our partners to make sure that the fisheries sector in Sharjah is sustainable."
Towards sustainable development
The initiative aims to encourage a culture of planning and institutional participation. It is a big step towards better management of fishery resources in Sharjah, in line with the Emirate's vision for sustainable development and protecting the environment.
