Empowering the community through volunteer programmes
The initiative is one of SP's major volunteer programmes, aiming to empower community members to be active partners in ensuring the emirate's security and stability by monitoring and reporting unsafe behaviours via a dedicated electronic platform.
Workshop highlights and participation
The session featured a demonstration of how to use the electronic platform, as well as participatory conversations and questions from volunteers about critical behaviours that can be reported and the societal role they can play in the campaign.
Volunteer registration and engagement
The initiative additionally enables the general public to register and participate in volunteer roles, allowing them to contribute to the community's stability by acting as observers who assist the emirate's security. The first phase of the campaign saw widespread engagement from all segments of society, including male and female students, individuals with disabilities in roles according to their talents and interests, SP members, and a huge number of volunteers from the general public.
"Community Voice" as a comprehensive security approach
The workshop organisers emphasised that "Community Voice" is more than just a reporting tool; it is an advanced security approach based on increasing community participation and broadening the circle of security responsibility to include all segments of society based on the principle that "every individual in the community is a partner in maintaining its security and safety."
