Sharjah 24: Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, announced the launch of the "Community Prevention in Schools" initiative during a press conference. The event took place on Monday morning at the Sharjah Academy of Police Science's campus in the University City of Sharjah.
The announcement was made following the directives and guidance of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Academy of Police Science Council. The initiative is titled "Together for a Positive Educational Community” and runs in collaboration with the Sharjah Police, the Sharjah Private Education Authority, and the Sharjah Social Services Department.
Al Shamsi stated in remarks to "Sharjah 24" that the goal of this initiative is to proactively guide students through the administrative and educational staff in all schools, given their proximity to students and daily interactions with them. This aims to create a positive, safe, and negative-free educational environment that aligns with the best educational systems.
The Chief of Sharjah Police expressed gratitude and appreciation to the involved partners from the Sharjah Private Education Authority, the Sharjah Social Services Department, and the Sharjah Academy of Police Science, who played a significant role in preparing educational materials to meet this requirement. These materials will set up mechanisms, plans, and programmes for effective implementation, based on data, indicators, and performance measures that will be used to evaluate the initiative's outcomes.
