Sharjah’s Handball defeats California Eagles

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Handball Team began its campaign in the IHF Super Globe, currently taking place in Egypt, with a victory over the California Eagles of the United States.

Sharjah claims victory in opening match

The match, held today at the Administrative Capital Hall in Cairo, ended with a score of 35-30 in favour of Sharjah.

Upcoming fixture

Sharjah is scheduled to play its second match in the nine-team tournament on Sunday against Germany's Magdeburg team. The competition runs from September 26 to October 2.

Distinguished attendance

The match was attended by several notable officials, including Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; Khalid Essa Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Sports Club; Mohammed Obaid Al Hosan, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Head of the Team Games Department; Ali Omran Taryam, former Vice Chairman of Sharjah Club; and Dr Hassan Moustafa, President of the International Handball Federation (IHF).
