Sharjah 24: Sharjah Club has announced the appointment of Croatian Romeo Jozak as its new sporting director, in a move that reflects the club’s ambition to strengthen its administrative and technical structure.

Jozak holds a PhD in Sports Science from the University of Zagreb and a UEFA Pro Licence, bringing more than two decades of experience in football management and development.

His career began at GNK Dinamo Zagreb Academy, where he served as director between 2008 and 2013, before taking up senior roles with the Croatian Football Federation, including director of national teams from 2013 to 2017. During this period, he contributed to the development of key players such as Luka Modrić, Ivan Rakitić, and Mario Mandžukić.

He has also held roles at Dinamo Zagreb, coached Legia Warszawa and Kuwait’s national team, and most recently served as sporting director of the Future Falcons programme at the Saudi Arabian Football Federation from 2021 to 2025.
