Sharjah enters the tournament as defending champions and is represented by a 28-member delegation, headed by Mohammed Saleh Al Ali, Board Member of Sharjah Sports Club and Chairman of the Collective Sports Department.
The championship features seven clubs: Sharjah, the defending champion; Kuwait SC, the host club; Burgan Club; Al Khaleej, runners-up in the previous edition; Al Duhail; Al Najma; and Al Arabi.
After China's CHA club withdrew, organisers adopted a single round-robin format rather than dividing teams into two groups. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals.
The tournament champion will secure direct qualification for the 2026 IHF Men’s Super Globe, to be held in Egypt.
Sharjah participated in the previous edition of the global event and finished sixth worldwide in 2025.
Sharjah strengthened its squad with four professional players ahead of the continental competition, including the Egyptian duo Hesham Mohamed and Gamal Salah from Zamalek SC, and Tunisian players Moaz Al Ayari and Mesbah Sannai.
The squad also includes experienced Emirati players, led by captain Ahmed Hilal, and goalkeeper Mohammed Ismail, Ibrahim Al Qurs, Mohammed Al Tamimi, Ahmed Abdullah and Mahmoud Fayez.
