Sharjah will face the California Eagles, champions of North America and the Caribbean, in their opening match of the Club Handball World Championship next Friday. The tournament will feature nine clubs competing from various regions.
As part of its training camp in Egypt, the Sharjah team will play a warm-up match on Tuesday against an Egyptian club, which will mark the final stage of preparation ahead of their World Championship debut.
Jassim Mohammed, Board Member of Group Games at Sharjah Club and game supervisor, affirmed the team’s readiness, stating that their goal is to go as far as possible in the tournament and secure the best possible result.
Sharjah earned its place in the World Championship by winning the previous edition of the AFC Handball Champions League, securing its spot among the world's top club teams.
