Sharjah 24: In line with its ongoing commitment to diversify content and offer quality programming, Sharjah TV has launched two new shows, further enriching its extensive schedule. This initiative reflects the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s mission to meet viewers’ aspirations and cater to a wide range of interests.

Trailer joy… a complete life on the road

Sharjah TV is presenting a pioneering programme in the local and Arab media scene: Trailer joy, which explores the world of trailers and recreational caravans—a growing lifestyle trend in the UAE. Airing every Saturday evening and overseen by Mohammed Hassan Al Yassi, the show takes viewers on varied internal tours, highlighting the passion of trailer owners through personal stories and interviews. It also offers practical tips for beginners, showcases top camping locations in deserts and coastal areas, and explains applicable regulations. The programme captures a spirit of adventure and simplicity, documenting a vibrant community that shares passion and memories on the road while delivering experiences full of surprises, human moments, and occasional humour.

Architectural treasures… homes that tell Sharjah’s story

Meanwhile, Architectural treasures, which begins airing on 28 September at 9:30 pm, takes viewers into the heart of Sharjah’s traditional architecture, featuring heritage homes converted into museums, cultural centres, and tourist destinations. Produced by Iman Al Jabri and directed by Khalid Al Hosani, each episode explores a traditional house from architectural, engineering, and historical perspectives, including insights from expert architects and descendants of the original families. The first episode features Al Naboodah House, followed by Al Gharbi House in the heart of Sharjah, with subsequent episodes highlighting other prominent heritage homes across central and eastern Sharjah, such as Obaid bin Hamad Al Shamsi House, Sheikh Saeed bin Hamad Al Qasimi House in Kalba, and Al Dhaid Fort.

A commitment to content that educates and entertains

Dr Mona Abdulaziz Al Radmi, Director of Programming at Sharjah TV, explained that Trailer Joy, unique locally and regionally, introduces viewers to a rapidly growing hobby in the community while offering insight into the social and tourism dimensions of caravan culture. Architectural treasures shines a light on Sharjah’s traditional homes as living testaments to architectural heritage, preserving the memory of past generations for the future.

Al Radmi emphasised that Sharjah TV is dedicated to providing content that balances education and entertainment, reflecting the vision of the Sharjah Media Corporation to highlight national identity and deliver its messages in contemporary ways that resonate with audiences locally, regionally, and globally.
