The cycle includes the launch of the new social programme "Sa’at Masa," which provides a daily discussion space to address the most prominent issues and topics of concern to society. The programme will explore the situations and life experiences of individuals, highlighting differing viewpoints among various groups, their causes, and ways to address them in a manner that promotes a culture of dialogue and understanding. "Sa’at Masa" will feature phone interviews with specialists and experts who offer practical advice and realistic solutions that enrich the discussion and help listeners face daily challenges and build more positive and balanced relationships.
The programme is presented by Sheikha Bin Khamis and Jamal Al-Sumaiti and airs from Monday to Thursday, from 4:30 to 5:25 PM.
On the religious front, Sharjah Radio has expanded the broadcast schedule of its "Verses and Recitations" programme to twice a week, up from one day previously. This expansion aims to provide a wider audience with the opportunity to benefit from its Quranic content and to utilise their free time during the summer vacation to learn proper recitation. The programme involves receiving calls from participants reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Specialists then correct any errors in recitation and intonation, offering feedback in an encouraging and educational manner. The programme also provides faith-based and educational guidance that strengthens the connection with the Book of God and encourages reflection upon its verses and their application. The programme is presented by Sheikh Diaa Al-Suwaidan and airs on Fridays and Saturdays from 4:30 to 5:25 PM.
What distinguishes Sharjah Radio's programmes is their great diversity. These include social programmes like "She is a Nation," educational programmes like "My Country is Safe," legal programs like "The Case and What It Entails," and heritage programs like "Echoes of Yesterday" or "An Eye on the World," in addition to the cooking programme "Popular Dishes" and the health programme "Your Medical Guide."
Amal Abdul Rahman Al Owais, Director of Sharjah Radio, emphasised that this season comes within the framework of the station's commitment to providing renewed media content that meets the demands of the summer season, combining benefit and entertainment, and enhancing interaction with listeners of all ages. This reinforces the station's role as a community platform for education and awareness that caters to families' interests during the summer vacation.
