Coverage was designed to be innovative and comprehensive, reflecting Sharjah’s leadership in promoting inclusion and showcasing efforts to improve education, employment, and living conditions for people with disabilities.
Dedicated studios and live broadcasts
SBA established a dedicated pavilion at Expo Centre Sharjah, equipped with state-of-the-art television and radio studios for live and comprehensive coverage. The pavilion also features screens displaying SBA’s achievements, digital media developments, and the Maraya platform. Sharjah TV broadcast the opening ceremony live on 15 September, alongside a morning studio programme with live coverage, analysis, and participation from officials and congress experts discussing topics such as inclusive education, family support, employment, humanitarian work, health, and organisational capacity building.
News coverage and radio programmes
The SBA News Centre provided extensive coverage through in-depth reports and exclusive interviews with experts and guests, analysing key issues from multiple perspectives. Sharjah Radio broadcast the congress with dedicated live episodes from Expo Sharjah from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, hosted by Ahmed Bouklah and Mariam Al Ajel, including interviews with participants, experts, and self-advocates, highlighting successful and innovative experiences.
Special programming and international reach
Pulse 95 FM aired a special programme, “Pulse 95 Live from World Congress 2025,” hosted by Louis Denham and Hassan Dannawi from the event site daily from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, focusing on key sessions, workshops, and live interviews. The station also produced 22 special segments throughout the day and shared coverage in English across social media platforms.
Workshops and interactive experiences
Sharjah Media Academy organised two open workshops for congress guests: one on artificial intelligence command engineering, led by Rashid Al Naqbi, and another on drone applications and challenges, presented by photographer Anas Sultan.
Digital media and Maraya platform
The SBA Digital Media Department provided live updates of sessions and developments across social media. The Maraya platform at the SBA pavilion offered congress attendees access to the latest films and series, along with an interactive feature allowing visitors to record a video and instantly receive it on their phones via a QR code.
