SBA delegation explores future of media at IBC 2025

Sharjah 24: A delegation from Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA) visited the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC 2025), held annually in Amsterdam under the theme 'Shaping the Future', from 12 to 15 September. The global event brought together over 1,000 exhibitors from 170 countries.

The delegation explored the latest innovations in the media industry, including state-of-the-art broadcasting, production, filming and recording technologies. They reviewed advanced camera systems and mobile television units, as well as pioneering solutions in satellite and digital broadcasting.

Strategic meetings with global experts

During the visit, SBA’s delegation held a series of high-level meetings with leading industry experts, specialists and representatives of international media technology companies. Discussions focused on how to integrate these advancements into the authority’s upcoming projects, ensuring its continued alignment with the latest innovations in global media.

Key themes at IBC 2025

This year’s conference centred on three strategic pillars shaping the future of the media landscape. The first was the shift in business models that continues to redefine the industry. The second was the rise of transformative technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and virtual production. The third emphasised the human element, highlighting the importance of skills development and nurturing new talent.
