Organising committee begins work on Kalba Beach Games 2025

Sharjah 24: The organising committee for the fifth edition of the Kalba Beach Games held its first meeting at the Sharjah Sports Council headquarters following the official announcement of the committee’s formation. Chaired by Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani, Vice Chairman of the Council, the meeting addressed various agenda items, including the structure of the committee and lessons learned from previous editions.

Planning for an enhanced edition

Jani welcomed the members and praised the success of past editions, noting that the tournament has become a landmark annual event eagerly anticipated by athletes across the emirate. The committee discussed challenges encountered in previous years and how to address them in the upcoming edition. A fixed date for the 2025 event was approved, and all subcommittees were officially instructed to begin their preparations. Updates to the event website and proposals for expanding the sports lineup were also reviewed.

Committee structure and next steps

The meeting also proposed a date for the upcoming press conference and coordinated with sports federations and clubs regarding competitions. Initial ideas for the opening ceremony were presented. The official committee includes representatives from various sectors such as media, public relations, marine sports, technical affairs, security, and martial arts, with the full team named to ensure a comprehensive organisational structure for a successful event.
