Sharjah 24: In line with the objectives of the workshop titled "From a Family of Creativity, We Create Talent," which seeks to highlight the role of the family in discovering and refining talent within the home, the Dibba Al Hisn Parents' Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD), in partnership with the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council, a member of Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA), organised a specialised workshop targeting mothers.

The workshop took place, on Tuesday, at the council's headquarters in Dibba Al Hisn, with a large turnout of parents and interested participants.

Promoting a culture of creativity

The workshop aimed to promote a culture of creativity within the primary nucleus of society, the family, by highlighting the educational and developmental role of mothers in discovering and nurturing latent talents in children, and by providing tools and methods that will create a home environment conducive to innovation and creativity.

The initiative was attended by several members of the Parents' Council, members of the Dibba Al Hisn Municipal Council, and the Dibba Al Hisn City Council, along with residents and women from the community. This reflects the growing societal interest in talent and creativity and the growing awareness of the importance of family guidance in building an informed and creative generation.

During the workshop, specialised trainers from Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council provided a comprehensive explanation of methods for discovering creative tendencies in families, especially among children, and mechanisms for engaging with them to enhance their self-confidence and encourage them to develop their talents in a supportive and understanding environment.

Using crafts and arts as educational tools

The workshop also addressed the importance of using crafts and arts as educational tools that develop artistic taste and enhance children's creative thinking skills.

For his part, Mohammed Rashid Rashoud Al Hamoudi, Chairman of the Parents' Council, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council for its fruitful cooperation and distinguished initiative. Al Hamoudi noted that the workshop is part of a series of awareness-raising activities organised by the Council as part of its agenda aimed at empowering families educationally and pedagogically, based on its belief that an aware family represents the cornerstone of building a cohesive and creative society.
