Professor Aisha Salem, Head of the Social Research Department at the Foundation, affirmed that health empowerment is integral to the Foundation’s vision. “Empowerment is not limited to education or social care; it includes health, which is the cornerstone of a stable life,” she said. She extended thanks to the University for their role in raising health awareness and providing essential dental care.
Dr Maryam Obaid Al-Shawain Al-Kaabi, lead physician of the mobile dental clinic, highlighted the clinic’s establishment in 2016, funded by a generous grant from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah. Designed to serve those facing barriers to healthcare access, the clinic reaches elderly individuals, people of determination, orphans, and their families across Sharjah and the UAE. The recent collaboration delivered essential dental procedures such as extractions, cleanings, and fillings, alongside medical consultations.
This initiative exemplifies sustainable community action and the value of institutional collaboration. It demonstrates how integrated efforts between charitable and educational institutions can offer lasting support to underserved groups, aligning with broader goals of social solidarity and sustainable development.
