Sharjah 24: In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Media Council; His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati, member of Sharjah Government Communication Award's (SGCA) jury, revealed details of the 12th edition of the award during the Government Communication Talk Forum, organised by Sharjah Government Media Bureau, held, on Wednesday, in Aljada.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati reviewed details of the 12th edition of the award, the importance of developing its standards, and its role in enhancing impact and sustainability in communication practices. This was during the Government Communication Talk Forum, organised by Sharjah Government Media Bureau, in the presence of a number of officials, experts, and specialists in the field of government communication.

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah 24, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati emphasised that the award continues to consolidate its global standing by updating its criteria annually to keep pace with recent developments in the government communication sector. He emphasised the importance of the award in enhancing communication performance at the local and international levels.

Continuous Development of the Award's Criteria to Enhance Impact and Sustainability

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Qassim Al Lawati explained that one of the award's most important criteria is achieving impact through the use of modern tools and sustainable communication solutions. He noted that such criteria are developed each year to keep pace with global changes in the field of government communication, reflecting the award's commitment to supporting excellence and innovation in government communication locally and internationally.

Expanding Covered Sectors and Strengthening Communication Partnerships

Al Lawati added that the award has gained global recognition, encompassing multiple sectors such as health, economics, education, and other vital areas. He emphasised that government communication is no longer limited to internal communication alone, but rather includes building strategic partnerships with various entities and institutions to enhance the effectiveness and impact of communication policies.

The jury member concluded by emphasising that SGCA is making steady progress toward developing the government communication sector in accordance with the highest international standards.
