Sharjah 24: Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development in Sharjah, honored the winners of the 23rd Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work. This recognition aims to celebrate their efforts in promoting a culture of volunteerism and community service.

Suad Butti Al Shamsi said that this year, 46 winners and honorees were recognized. They were chosen from 391 submissions. These entries showcased volunteer initiatives and projects that helped serve the community and encouraged social responsibility.

In statements to Sharjah 24, she mentioned that the initiatives involved in this year's award logged 448,000 volunteer hours from both individual and institutional volunteers. This effort helped improve the quality of life and led to economic savings of about AED 3.5 million. She stressed that these results show the positive effect of volunteer work in supporting sustainable development in Sharjah.
