The opening was attended by Dr Issa Saif bin Hanzal, Sharjah Executive Council Member and Head of the Department of Islamic Affairs, in the presence of the donor, several department directors and officials.
The attendees performed the noon prayer in the mosque, then toured its facilities.
The mosque can accommodate approximately 1000 worshippers.
Dr Issa Saif bin Hanzel affirmed that the opening of Al Muhtadin Mosque is an extension of the department’s plan to keep pace with the urban expansion in Mahdub district, one of the newest residential districts in Sharjah.
He pointed out that the mosque is the third mosque to be opened in the district since the beginning of 2026.
Bin Hanzel expressed his gratitude to the donor for his contribution to the construction of the mosque, stressing that the contributions of philanthropists represent a key partner in the process of building houses of God.
