Commemorating Sheikh Zayed’s legacy
Maitha Murad emphasised that the initiative aims to commemorate the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's humanitarian work and spread the culture of giving within Emirati society. A total of 250 suhoor meals and gifts were distributed to workers with the participation of the senior citizens, employees, volunteers, and community members. This act embodied the values of goodness and compassion, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
Fostering connections and joy
Murad noted that the senior citizens exchanged Ramadan greetings and friendly conversations with all attendees, bringing joy and happiness to both the workers and the senior citizens. They also reflected on Sheikh Zayed’s legacy of supporting charitable work both within the UAE and internationally.
A continuing legacy of giving
Despite their advanced age, the senior citizens continue to be excellent role models in instilling authentic Emirati values in society. Their love for initiative and humanity proves that generosity and compassion are timeless and universal, transcending age and life stages.
