Nasser Masoud Bilal, Head of the Branches Sector and Director of the Kalba Administration at the SCI, said that the event is part of the Charity's programmes and charitable initiatives aimed at alleviating the burdens of workers and low-income individuals.
Bilal explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that Zayed Humanitarian Day is an occasion that reminds everyone of the achievements of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and reinforces his humanitarian values that have reached all corners of the world.
He added that the Iftar banquet, which brought together approximately 1,000 fasting people, aimed to promote the values and principles of solidarity and community support. He further mentioned that the Charity’s initiatives during Ramadan are ongoing, including the Iftar Sa'im project.
The Head of the Branches Sector and Director of the Kalba Administration at the SCI further stated that the Charity has allocated 23 locations and a tent for Iftar meals, with support from donors and philanthropists, adding that over 2,000 Iftar meals will be distributed through the end of the holy month.
