Al Hamriyah Club to host Ramadan Blitz Chess Championship

The deadline for registration is 8 March, and the tournament, open to all, will take place at the Ramadan Village of Hamriyah Club.  

Promoting chess and community engagement  
Issa bin Rakan, board member of Hamriyah Club and head of the cultural and community committee, emphasised that the championship is part of the club's vision to introduce diverse initiatives and competitions that engage the local community during Ramadan. 

He expressed appreciation for the Sharjah Chess Club’s collaboration in organising the event and highlighted the many benefits of chess, such as improving concentration, fostering creative thinking, developing patience, enhancing decision-making skills, and boosting self-confidence—all of which will be valuable for the tournament participants.
