Dibba Al Hisn Club launches 16th Quran Competition

Sharjah24: In line with its Ramadan programs aimed at promoting social values, the Dibba Al Hisn Sports and Cultural Club has announced the launch of the 16th edition of the Quran Recitation Competition under the theme "Memorise and Recite". Scheduled for 15th Ramadan 1446 AH, the event is organised in collaboration with the Sharjah Foundation for Quran and Sunnah and sponsored by the Sharjah Charity International.

The competition targets various age groups up to 18 years old and has introduced several updates from previous editions. The categories include memorisation of 10 parts, 5 parts, 2 parts, a special category for the club’s youth members, and another for People of Determination from Dibba Al Hisn and Dibba Al Fujairah. The competition will also feature awards for the best reciter and recognise a distinguished religious figure from Dibba Al Hisn. The final registration deadline is set for Saturday, March 8, 2025.

Fostering Spiritual Engagement

Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Mutawa, the Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club, highlighted the significance of religious competitions in motivating younger generations to connect with and master the recitation of the Quran. He stressed that the competition showcases the club's dedication to providing cultural and religious services to its members and the broader community, promoting a positive competitive spirit, particularly with the enthusiastic participation of the People of Determination.

Dr. Mutawa also pointed out the unique spiritual significance of the holy month of Ramadan, noting how this event enriches the spiritual atmosphere by allowing participants to connect with God through the beauty of Quranic recitations.

He extended his gratitude to the Sharjah Charity International, the official sponsor of this significant cultural and religious event, acknowledging their dedication to supporting initiatives that honor the Holy Quran.
