Sharjah 24: To enhance its role in preserving Sharjah's history, the Documentation House in the Emirate of Sharjah concluded its initiative, "Photographic Walk: Here is History." The initiative aimed to introduce participants to Khorfakkan's most notable historical areas, including the ancient village of Wadi Shis and Najd Al Maqsar. Fifty amateur and professional photographers visited these historic locations to document the city’s heritage through their lenses.

Importance of the Photographic Walk

Maha Salem Al Muhairi, Director of the Government Communication Department at the Documents House, emphasised the significance of the photographic walk in preserving historical sites. She highlighted its role in raising awareness about the value of history and ensuring its transmission to future generations. Al Muhairi explained that the initiative combined art and documentation, showcasing the beauty of historical sites and enhancing their importance. She noted that the photographs would serve as a valuable reference for preserving the authentic identity of Khorfakkan and Sharjah.
