The Organising Committee held a press conference at the Khorfakkan Literary Council to reveal the details of this year’s edition. The event was attended by sports officials, representatives from federations and clubs, as well as local dignitaries and residents of the Al-Subaihiya area.
This year's championship features 8 teams, each representing different regions and neighborhoods of Khorfakkan, with a total of 144 to 180 players. In addition to the football matches, the tournament will showcase cultural, artistic, and heritage events, making it a Ramadan gathering for the Al-Subaihiya community and surrounding areas.
Several football legends from the first generation will also participate in the tournament, which spans three weeks, with games held three days a week during Ramadan. The competition will conclude on March 30.
Dr Al Naqbi emphasized that the event is held under the patronage of the Sharjah Sports Council, with the support of private and sports institutions, including the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club.
