Sharjah 24: Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Khamis Al Othmani, the Director of the Sharjah Academy for Police Sciences (SAPS), announced the launch of a PhD program titled “Quality and Excellence in Security Work.” This initiative follows the program's receipt of initial accreditation from the Academic Accreditation Commission of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant advancement for the Academy's educational offerings. The program has been designed to respond to the Sharjah Police General Command and the Ministry of Interior's demand for highly skilled graduates in the fields of quality and institutional security excellence, also providing an opportunity for master’s graduates to further their studies within this specialization.

Brigadier Al Othmani elaborated, during his interview with “Sharjah 24”, that the program comprises 24 accredited study hours, alongside an additional 36 hours dedicated to the preparation of a doctoral thesis. The curriculum encompasses a variety of crucial topics, including modern trends in managing security institutions, leadership and innovation in security operations, organizational change and development, quality management in security services, risk analysis and crisis management, quality techniques in security work, and advanced scientific research methodologies.
