The MBZ-SAT is equipped with a primary payload weighing 750 kg and features a 2-meter-long camera. This advanced camera boasts an imaging capability that is ten times more effective than previous generations and offers double the accuracy of earlier satellite technologies.
Al Khatri highlighted the importance of this achievement in the scientific realm during her remarks to "Sharjah 24." She noted that it will greatly benefit researchers, specialists, and science students by allowing them to gather and analyze information in under two hours while aiding in monitoring Earth from both urban and climatic perspectives.
Entirely developed by Emirati expertise at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center, the satellite was successfully launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, USA, aboard a SpaceX “Falcon 9” rocket.
