Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), in collaboration with the Sharjah Police General Command and the Sharjah Police Youth Council, marked International Youth Day 2025 with a special initiative titled "Interactive Youth... Cohesive Society." This initiative aligns with the emirate’s vision to empower young people and reinforce their role in serving the community and contributing to sustainable development.

Empowering youth and enhancing government skills

Organised in partnership with the Sharjah Youth Council, the event aimed to strengthen the skills of Sharjah government employees while enabling young individuals to share their professional and life experiences. The initiative also supported social cohesion by encouraging the exchange of knowledge between generations.

Held at the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), the event welcomed the participation of His Excellency Majid Hamad Al Marri, Director of the SDHR, along with leaders, officials, and employees from various Sharjah government departments.

Workshop: Uses of Artificial Intelligence in content creation

The first of two specialised workshops was titled "Uses of Artificial Intelligence in Content Creation," and presented by Captain Ali Amer Al Ghaithi. It addressed the concept and development of artificial intelligence, explored its benefits and challenges, discussed how AI can be applied to content creation, and raised awareness about deepfake technology. A practical demonstration showcased how AI tools are used in content production.

Workshop: Cyber awareness and digital safety

The second workshop, "Cyber Awareness," was led by Sergeant First Class Nada Al Suwaidi. This session focused on common cyber risks, the protection of personal and professional data, and the best practices for cybersecurity. It also discussed the responsibilities of employees in maintaining security within organizations, the latest developments in cyber threats, and the role of governments in enhancing digital security infrastructure.

Certified training and long-term vision

At the conclusion of the event, participants received certified training certificates, underscoring the commitment of the Sharjah Human Resources Department and Sharjah Police to equipping national talents with future-ready skills.

Sharjah: A hub for youth and innovation

The initiative reflects both entities’ dedication to supporting youth, investing in their creativity, and enabling their contributions to national and global development goals. This effort further positions Sharjah as a thriving hub for innovation, talent, and community engagement.
