The delegation commended Sharjah’s efforts to nurture the Holy Quran and its teachings, particularly in specialized Quranic studies, research, and the preservation of Quranic manuscripts. They highlighted the importance of showcasing the cognitive, civilizational, and humanitarian aspects of the true Islamic faith.
During their visit, the delegation learned about the foundations of the complex, which includes the Sharjah International Electronic Reading Hall. This facility makes it easier for individuals to obtain Quranic licenses, known as “Ijazah,” in various narrations. The complex prioritizes Quranic studies and research, featuring notable projects such as the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation and the Encyclopedia of Methods for Distinguishing Readings. Additionally, through its Quranic museums, the delegation explored the history of Quranic writing, its unique artifacts and manuscripts, the science of readings, and the notable figures associated with the Quran. They expressed their admiration for this remarkable institution, recognized as the largest of its kind in the world and a significant civilizational landmark in the realm of Quranic knowledge.
Upon their arrival, the delegation was welcomed by Dr. Faisal Al-Suwaid, Director of the Museums and Corporate Communication and Marketing Departments, who explained the complex’s role, vision, and mission in promoting Islamic culture and enhancing the service of the Holy Quran.
