The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Sharjah Police Academy and the Ministry of Health and Prevention, aiming to promote kidney health awareness and encourage practices that support kidney well-being across various community groups through creative activities.
This year's campaign focused on providing healthy meals and water bottles to workers, stressing the importance of staying hydrated during the winter months to prevent dehydration. The initiative also offered complimentary medical check-ups and organized an educational workshop in Urdu, offering key guidance on preserving kidney health. Interactive educational competitions were also held to ensure the learning experience was both engaging and effective.
The Kidney Patients Association recognised the contributions of key partners, such as the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Sharjah Police Headquarters, and Sharjah Police Academy, highlighting their essential roles in the success of the campaign and the promotion of kidney health awareness.
Mona Al Hawai, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Kidney Patients Association, emphasized the organization's commitment to raising awareness about kidney diseases in the UAE since its establishment in 2007. The association has been dedicated to providing medical care to kidney patients and assisting healthcare facilities with diagnostic and treatment equipment.
Mona Al Hawai also reiterated the association’s ongoing commitment to organizing the "With Water, Life Blooms" campaign every year to promote healthy kidney practices. Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, spouse of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, continues to champion initiatives aimed at improving both the physical and mental health of kidney patients and the broader community.
