Sharjah 24: The Board of Trustees of Al Qasimia University has expressed its deep appreciation for the generous support, guidance, and various initiatives provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member, Ruler of Sharjah, and founder of the university.

The Board affirmed that this support, which includes the approval of the university's annual budgets, reflects His Highness's strategic vision of investing in human capital and advancing education and scientific research. It also embodies his ongoing commitment to solidifying the university's position as a world-class academic institution that blends high-quality education and research excellence with community service and the promotion of moderation, tolerance, and coexistence.

Driving a new phase of academic leadership

His Excellency Professor Jamal Salem Al-Tarifi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al Qasimia University, expressed his profound gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Ruler of Sharjah. He affirmed that this support marks a new phase in the university's journey toward excellence and leadership, enabling the development of its scientific research system, the modernisation of academic programmes, and the accelerated adoption of modern technologies across educational and institutional operations.

Furthermore, this backing will help align educational outcomes with labor market demands, attract distinguished academic talent, and expand strategic partnerships with academic, governmental, and private institutions both within and outside the UAE—thereby enhancing the university's regional and international competitiveness.

Fulfilling the 2025–2030 strategic plan

Al-Tarifi added that Al Qasimia University, which boasts a diverse student body representing 139 nationalities, continues to actively implement its 2025–2030 strategic plan across its six colleges: Sharia and Islamic Studies, Arts and Humanities, Economics and Management, Communication, Holy Quran, and Graduate Studies and Scientific Research.

This structure reinforces the university's mission to prepare qualified professionals equipped with knowledge, skills, and values within a global environment that fosters cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.

He emphasised that the approved budget will directly contribute to upgrading the educational and research environment, enhancing student facilities and services, and supporting community initiatives. This aligns with the university's long-term vision of becoming a leading global academic beacon that actively supports sustainable development in the UAE and across the globe.
