Sharjah Club kicks off exciting Taekwondo training sessions

Sharjah 24: The Professor Lee Kyu Seok, President of Asian Taekwondo Union, inaugurated the Taekwondo training programme, organised by the Asian Taekwondo Union and hosted by Sharjah Sports Club.
The inauguration was in the presence of Eng. Suleiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, Board Member and Head of the Individual Games Department; and Zayed Al Suwaidi, Vice President of the UAE Taekwondo Federation.

More than 120 members of the combat, poomsae and para trainers are participating in the training, in addition to a number of players. The training is part of the educational programmes held by the Asian Union to raise the technical level of trainers and players and to familiarise members with the amendments that have occurred. The training It will continue until December 22.

The President of the Asian Union expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sharjah Sports Club for hosting the training, praising the infrastructure that the club includes and the preparations that have been made to host this event, which saw the participation of a large number of trainers and players.

Eng. Sulaiman Abdulrahman Al Hajri, thanked the President of the Asian Union for choosing the United Arab Emirates to host this training, namely, Sharjah Sports Club, noting that the club is keen to host such programmes that reflect the club and the emirate's ability to host the largest events with the highest quality standards.

The Head of Individual Games pointed out that the training is a valuable opportunity to gather in one place from different nationalities and from all spectrums of the game's coaches, including Paralympic coaches, indicating that the participation of this large number of coaches and players will certainly reflect positively on the game in the UAE, especially since it includes a number of experienced coaches in addition to a number of international players.

Al Hajri hoped that all participants would benefit from this training, and that its results would be reflected on the clubs to raise the technical level of players contributing to their good performance in international competitions.
