Sharjah24: Dr. Yasser Omar Al-Dokhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department at the Sharjah Sports Council, announced the participation of 150 male and female athletes in the fourth edition of the Khorfakkan Cycling Challenge.
The Sharjah Sports Council, in collaboration with the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, organized the Khorfakkan Cycling Challenge on Sunday, featuring widespread participation from athletes of various categories and nationalities. The event was attended by Abdulmalik Jani, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Salem Al-Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Sports and Cultural Club, and several officials from clubs and sports federations.

Dr. Yasser Omar Al-Dokhi stated in an interview with "Sharjah 24" that 150 amateur and professional athletes participated in the challenge.

He added that participants competed individually or as part of teams representing clubs, federations, and organizations, noting that the race was characterized by enthusiasm and high competition among the various competitors.

Al-Dokhi confirmed that the race covered a distance of 8 kilometers, starting from the launch point in front of the Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa and reaching the finish line at the top of the Al Suhub Rest Area, which is 600 meters above sea level. He emphasized that such competitions aim to promote a culture of sports practice and to promote tourism destinations in various cities of Sharjah.
