Sharjah 24 – WAM: The National Readiness Forum for First Line Defenders and First Responders, themed "Together for a Ready Nation", has been launched in Abu Dhabi to strengthen the preparedness of government, private and community institutions to respond to emergencies, crises and disasters.

Strategic nurturing and international success

The accomplishment reflects Asina’s exceptional talent, determination and ambition, supported by the professional development system of Kalba Sports and Cultural Club’s Individual Games Department. The club has prepared and developed her skills through a strategic program focused on discovering and nurturing sporting talent and producing champions capable of competing on the world stage and pursuing Olympic success.

Asina outperformed players from some of the world’s most established chess schools, adding another milestone to Emirati sport and showcasing the rapid development of chess in the UAE through continued leadership support and investment in young talent.

Strong partnerships and remarkable track record

The achievement also reflects the success of the strategic partnership between Kalba Sports and Cultural Club and the UAE Chess Federation, which has created a comprehensive training environment that has helped develop Asina’s abilities and elevate her to the top of the world rankings. The partnership aims to build a new generation of champions capable of representing the UAE at major international competitions.

The latest success adds to Asina’s growing list of achievements, including second place in the UAE Chess League under-10 category, titles in the UAE Rapid Chess Cup under-16 category, the UAE Classical Chess Championship under-10 and under-12 categories, as well as gold medals at the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival and the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy International Blitz Chess Tournament for Ladies in the under-10 category.

Club leadership and future vision

Abdullah Ali Al Baloushi, Board Member and Director of Individual Games at Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, described the achievement as a source of pride for both the club and Emirati sport, saying it reflects the success of the club’s strategy to discover talent and develop Olympic champions.

He said: “Asina’s achievement is a testament to the institutional approach adopted by Kalba Sports and Cultural Club in nurturing sporting talent, and confirms that investing in young athletes is the true path to creating champions. We will continue implementing our strategy to provide the best training and supportive environment for our national talents, contributing to further achievements and raising the UAE’s name on the international stage.”

Kalba Sports and Cultural Club, in cooperation with the UAE Chess Federation, continues to implement development programmes aimed at discovering and refining national talent while strengthening the UAE’s presence on the global chess stage, in line with the country’s vision of building sporting excellence and future generations of international champions.
