Triumph in Khorfakkan: SSC crowns winners of the Oceanic Triathlon

Sharjah24: Sharjah Sports Council organized the Oceanic Triathlon in Khorfakkan in collaboration with Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa and the UAE Triathlon Federation. The event saw the participation of 203 individuals from both genders, part of a series of community sports initiatives aimed at encouraging various age groups to adopt sports as a lifestyle. The event included swimming, cycling, and running competitions across different distances: an Olympic distance swim of 1500 meters, cycling for 40 km, and a 10 km run; a sprint with a 750 m swim, 18 km cycling, and a 5 km run; and a super sprint with a 375 m swim, 10 km cycling, and a 2.5 km run. There was also a Junior Super Sprint category featuring a 150 m swim, 10 km cycling, and a 1.5 km run.

Attending the event and the award ceremony were His Excellency Abdul Malik Mohammed Jani, President of the UAE Triathlon Federation and Vice President of the Sharjah Sports Council, along with Dr. Yasser Omar Al-Dokhi, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department.

His Excellency Abdul Malik Jani praised the event's success, stating: "The event achieved great success, and we are happy with this exceptional participation and the enthusiasm of the competitors from various age groups. This reflects a love for sports and a wide interest in participating in the Council's sports and community events, enhancing our commitment to transitioning from success to success." He expressed gratitude to all supporting and sponsoring bodies that contributed to the event's remarkable success.
