Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council has approved Saturday, October 26, to organise the “Arab Bicycle Day Ride” in light of the occasion celebrated annually by the Arab Cycling Federation, which falls on October 30.
The ride will be held on Khorfakkan Corniche from 4:00 to 5:00 pm, and registration for participation is optional through the link: https://www.hopasports.com/en/event/arabian-bicycles-day-ride
The event is targeted to attract 500 participants from different age groups, and will start from Khorfakkan Waterfalls for a distance of 10 km, with a maximum speed of 30 km per hour.
Each participant will bring his own bike, wear a helmet, and follow the instructions along the route, which will see the competitors ride in a single group from start to finish.
Participants will receive commemorative medals bearing the logo of the Arab Bicycle Day along with the logos of the supporting and sponsoring entities.
