Sharjah 24: Sheikh Saud Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX 2024 and Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department, recognized Sharjah Municipality (SM) for winning first place as the Best Participating Project within the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX.
This is in recognition of its notable involvement, which enhanced the public's and visitors' understanding of the pavilion overall, and specifically of the municipal platform. This engagement also offered a chance to gain knowledge about the state's innovative smart inspection system.
Reem Abdullah Al Rusi, head of the innovation team at the municipality, received the honorary shield in the presence of several teammates and employees who significantly contributed to providing a specialized and comprehensive explanation of the project and the municipality’s participation in the exhibition.
Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, director general of Sharjah City Municipality, emphasized that this achievement showcases the municipality’s commitment to advancing and modernizing services, devices, and tools across various aspects of its operations. This initiative aligns with a digital framework that supports the vision and objectives of the Sharjah government by enhancing convenience for clients and investors while optimizing time and effort.
He highlighted that participating in GITEX at the Sharjah Government Pavilion serves as motivation to encourage employees to be creative and turn innovative ideas into high-quality projects with great efficiency.
Reem Abdullah Al Rusi confirmed that the municipality showcased a short film on its platform regarding the smart inspection system project, which highlights the stages of completing the inspection process, the time involved, and the steps undertaken by the device.
She gave visitors a thorough explanation of the project, its features, and its benefits, which improved their understanding and informed them about the municipality's efforts to adopt best practices and digital transformation across various municipal work areas, in line with the Emirate's comprehensive renaissance.
She commended the exceptional organisation of the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX and the significant support provided to participating government entities and departments.
