Sharjah 24: Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department and Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion, honoured the Sharjah Police General Command for winning first place as the best participating project within the Sharjah Government Pavilion at GITEX 2024, for its two projects “Virtual Reality Radar” and “Virtual Sanad and Soun Family.”
The award was received by Lieutenant Colonel Abdulrahim Al Hammadi, Head of the Innovation and Future Foresight Department at Sharjah Police, in the presence of Engineer Lamia Obaid Al Shamsi, Director of the Sharjah Digital Department, and a number of officials and representatives of government entities, in addition to the participating work team from Sharjah Police.
For his part, His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Sharjah Government Pavilion, and the ambitious work team for adopting innovative and pioneering projects, and enhancing the digital services provided by all government entities under the umbrella of the digital government in the Emirate, which reflects Sharjah’s vision and its keenness on technical progress, and establishing sustainable digital solutions that contribute to enhancing the quality of life for the UAE community.
His Excellency stressed that the Sharjah Police's victory is the culmination of the continuous efforts made by all police cadres to achieve excellence and leadership in the fields of security and safety, praising the exceptional efforts made by the Sharjah Police work teams in creating and developing creative and innovative projects.
His Excellency called for the exertion of effort to achieve the visions of the wise leadership and the strategic goals of Sharjah Police; in an effort to make the United Arab Emirates the best country in the world in achieving security and safety, and for Emirate to be the best cities in the world in terms of security and safety.
