Ali Obaid Al Hamoudi, Director of the Institutional Communication Department at SM, confirmed the continued success of the programme, which grows in popularity each year. The 2025 edition targeted the children of municipal employees, attracting over 80 boys and girls aged between 7 and 12. The program included a range of educational workshops, practical applications, competitions, and recreational trips that offered participants both enjoyment and learning.
Al Hamoudi explained that this year's edition focused specifically on the children of municipal employees. SM provided all necessary resources, including a suitable venue and a dedicated team of park supervisors to run the workshops and activities. The program plays a key role in discovering children’s talents and interests, particularly because of the wide variety of events that reflect different aspects of municipal work.
Maryam Ali Bilal, head of the events section at SM, emphasised that the program reinforces the municipality’s societal role and aligns with Sharjah’s wider summer activities. These activities provide enjoyable learning experiences through diverse, purposeful events organised by government departments. She noted SM’s commitment to making a meaningful contribution each year through a rich and unique experience.
Bilal also highlighted that the program includes activities held in Sharjah's public parks, which themselves host a variety of events during the summer season. These initiatives aim to draw children and involve them in educational and creative workshops that improve their skills. The programme contributes to positioning public parks as ideal venues for leisure and learning, turning them into attractive community spaces through continuous, seasonally appropriate events and initiatives.
