Sharjah 24: Mona Abdullah Hassan Al Dhahouri from the Social Responsibility Department at Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, reported the opening of the first model of residential gardens in the city, allocated in the external areas between residential neighbourhoods.
On Saturday, Dibba Al Hisn Municipality opened the first model of residential gardens, the first of its kind in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participation of a number of residents, in order to meet the needs of citizens and provide green spaces close to their homes.
Mona Abdullah Hassan Al Dhahouri from the Social Responsibility Department at Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said that the initiative comes in implementation of the directives of the wise leadership to create a natural outlet for residents by establishing residential gardens that enhance environmental and health sustainability and meet the aspirations of all family members.
She explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the gardens are being created in the available outdoor spaces in the middle of residential neighbourhoods, after a study conducted by the municipality concluded that the indoor spaces in the homes of Dibba Al Hisn are not sufficient to create gardens.
Al Dhahouri added that the municipality has selected areas that comply with the requirements for establishing residential gardens, as the area of each garden is estimated at about 70 square metres, noting that the elements of security and safety are provided, and the gardens include rest areas and play areas for children in the middle of green spaces.
