Sharjah 24: His Excellency Prof. Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), inaugurated the “Health Awareness” exhibition, organized, on Wednesday, by the Student Happiness Council at the university, under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs.
Al Khalaf was accompanied on his tour of the exhibition by Ms. Ahlam Bin Jarsh, Assistant Director of the University for Female Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Suleiman Al Sarayrah, Dean of Student Affairs, in addition to a number of members of the academic and administrative staff and female students of the university.
The exhibition included a number of activities aimed at raising awareness of the importance of healthy, balanced food and its role in achieving sustainable development, in addition to a workshop entitled "No to Food Waste", which highlights the importance of reducing food waste and thinking of innovative ways to conserve resources.
His Excellency Prof. Dr. Awad Al Khalaf pointed out the importance of AQU role in guiding students towards adopting healthy and sustainable eating methods.
Al Khalaf expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Deanship of Student Affairs in raising health awareness about food issues and safety, stressing that such events enhance health awareness among students and contribute to building a sustainable society.
Dr. Awad Al Khalaf added that AQU will continue to support initiatives that promote public health, stressing the need for students to participate in these events to enhance their knowledge and abilities in making sound food choices.
